Riding the Bus
Did you know there’s a great bus service that can get you from Auburn, or Lincoln or Rocklin to Sierra College and back?
It's easy, saves money & no parking problems
Riding the bus is so easy and inexpensive! I’m saving money and wear & tear on my car. Once I learned about “the bus,” I stopped driving my car to Sierra.
For just $1 each way, I can sit and read a book and let someone else do the driving. I don’t have to circle a full parking lot anymore hoping for a space to open up. Just think of the money you could save on parking!
Hourly runs
The bus picks up and drops off every hour beginning (depending on your location) during the 6 a.m. hour and ending during the 7 p.m. hour. I just can’t think of any reason I’d go back to driving to Sierra everyday. This is so much better!
Coming from Auburn
I catch the bus at the Nevada Street Train Station and Bus Stop in Auburn. I give the bus driver a ticket which I’ve purchased in book form from our Sierra College Book Store. If you buy a book of 40 rides the cost for each ride goes down to just 75¢. The bus travels straight to Sierra College, no stops along the way. I get to Sierra in the same amount of time it takes me to drive myself. I get dropped off at the bus stop behind Dietrich Theatre. It’s a straight shot back to Auburn as well.
Support public transportation for everyone
Using public transit is a plus for everyone. We can all pitch in to save energy and money, put a little less carbon dioxide in the air and save the parking spaces for those who don’t have access to the bus. Supporting the bus system will ensure that those who have no other transportation will be assured a ride when they need it.
