Sierra College is a fully accredited, two-year institution with its main campus located in Rocklin, California, a campus located in Grass Valley, centers located in Roseville and Tahoe-Truckee.
Situated in the beautiful Sierra foothills, the main Sierra College campus is centrally located near Interstate 80. Just a few short miles from the state capitol in Sacramento, Sierra College has a lovely setting where winters are mild, the springs breathtaking, and the summers are warm. Lake Tahoe is within easy access, as is the wine country of Napa and the historic beauty of the gold county.
The faculty, staff, students, and management at Sierra College are known throughout the area as warm and friendly. The college offers instruction in 75 course disciplines in two-year degree programs. We also offer an extensive list of lower division courses for students who transfer to four year universities. We award the largest number of Associate degrees in California. The academic schedule consists of two 17 week semesters, expanded weekend offerings (Saturday and Friday evenings), and summer sessions.
Location
The Personnel Office is open from 7:30 - 5:00 Monday - Friday. Summer hours are 7:00 – 5:00 Monday – Thursday. Closed on Fridays.
Applications are available outside the Personnel Office at 5000 Rocklin Road 24 hours a day. There is also an outside drop box for applications for after hours and weekends.
Sierra College is located off Interstate 80 between Sacramento and Auburn. If you are driving east toward Reno, take the Rocklin Road exit and turn right. If you are heading west toward the Sacramento area, take the Rocklin Road exit and turn left and go under the freeway. The college is approximately one-quarter mile from the freeway. The Personnel Office is located at the West entrance to Sierra College off Rocklin Road and El Don Drive. It is a modular building housing both Personnel and Police Services. Turn left into campus and left into our parking lot.
