Follow These Steps:
- Submit an Application - Complete an Online Application, or in-person at the Admissions Office. Please allow four (4) working days for processing after receipt of the online signature page or application. (If applying online be sure to log off after applying.)
- Create your MySierra Account - you will use your MySierra account to obtain your student id number, register for courses on-line, review your schedule, fees, or grades, or access the library database.
- Apply for Financial Aid - There are many different financial aid programs available.
- Complete Assessment - Assessment in reading, English and mathematics helps determine your skill level & needs. Transfer students who have assessed at another college may send their assessment results to the Sierra College Assessment Center, 5000 Rocklin Road, Rocklin, CA 95677 or fax to (916) 781-0533-Rocklin campus/ (530) 274-5307 Nevada County Campus. These results must be received prior to registering for classes.
- Attend Orientation, Meet with a Counselor - Find out about rules and policies that may affect your college experience. Then, meet with a counselor, who will help you to develop your educational plan, refer you to appropriate services and answer specific questions and concerns.
- Register for Courses - Two ways to register!
- Get your Student I.D. Card and Activity Sticker. Your Student ID card is free of charge and may be obtained at the Admissions and Records Office on the Rocklin Campus or the Nevada County Campus. You will need your ID card to check out library materials, to use the computer lab or tutor center. The activity sticker may be purchased through the Admissions Office and provides discounts to community and campus events.
- Purchase your Rocklin books online, or NCC books online - You can get a list of required textbooks, purchase your books online, find information about store locations, or purchase Sierra College spirit merchandise.
