There are many skulls exhibited here, although most are replicas. The left side of the display shows an elephant skull next to its closest land relative. Slightly lower, a male gorilla skull is shown next to a human skull. In the top right corner are two giraffe skulls. While looking at the skulls, it is interesting to distinguish the herbivores from the carnivores. The herbivores have large flattened teeth designed for crushing plant matter, while the carnivores have pointed teeth for killing and eating meat.
