Justin was also hit by 12 pitches while racking up an on base percentage over .400. This year with hard work, Justin plans on battling it out with the other outfielders for playing time and a starting spot. Justin’s best memory was playing with DSA Mustangs in a spring 05’ tournament. The score was tight and Justin stepped to the plate with runners on first and second. As the pitcher began to get deeper into the count, Justin became more and more determined to get a hit. When the pitch came, Justin waited on the curve ball and pounded it over the 15 foot wall in left center. Justin went 4 for 4 that game with 2 doubles, a single and a 3 run homerun. This homerun put the Mustangs up by 1, which latter led to a Mustang victory.

- Brian will do anything to win a baseball game. He loves the game of baseball! Working out to get ready for the upcoming season is what he looks forward to every year. Focusing on becoming a great player is all he thinks about before the season. Working out everyday and being on the field as much as possible is fun to him. He can’t wait to get back to the championship game like in his senior season at Woodland. The most memorable moment he has on a baseball field is catching the first pitch in a little league game on the brand new Dick Klennard field’s baseball complex. It was the first pitch ever thrown on those fields and was thrown by Dick himself. Dick is a friend of the family and a very respected man in the community. There was a huge crowd in the complex and they all watched Brian Wright catch the first pitch from Dick. It was on the front page of the local news paper and there was a great picture of Brian Wright giving the ball back to Dick after it was over. It made little leaguer Brian Wright’s baseball career one he will never forget. Brian Wright’s awards consist of (2005 SFL M.V.P.)(2007 Most Improved Player)(Stolen base record holder at Woodland High and The BSL) Brian Wright will steal a base on anybody anywhere anytime!
