Sierra College World Class Wrestling Camp

Commuter Camp -

  • June 8-12, 2008 and
  • July 1-3.
  • Ages 8 to 18
  • Fee: June (5 day camp): $180; July (3 day camp): $137

Residential Camp -

  • June 8-12, 2008,
  • Ages 10 to 18
  • Fee: $285

Coach Ken WharryCamp Director: Ken Wharry

Head Wrestling Coach at Sierra College, is a 3 time All American, NAIA National Champion, Masters National Champion and placed in the Masters World Championships. Coach Wharry is the 2007 Community College Coach of the Year.

Camp Staff

This camp will be conducted by an exciting blend of quality athletes from the world-level to the university and national level, plus coaches from well-respected high school programs.

World Class Clinicians

  • Nick Saldivar - Coach, SAWA, Bronze-level Coach, Jr. National All-American, California High School State placer.
  • Don Martinez III - Head Coach at Natomas High School, Head Coach SAWA, Assistant Coach at Sierra College
  • Quincy Clark - Ranked #3 at 85kg, member of USA Greco Roman Team, 2000 USA Greco Roman Olympic Team, 2x Open National Chanpion in Greco Roman, 2x AA at San Diego State and Oklahoma State.
  • Marco Sanchez - California HS State Champion, Junior National Champion, 2x AA at Arizona State, 4x University Champion, 5x placer Open Nationals, 1996 Puerto Rican Greco Roman Olympic Team.
  • Erik Nye - 5th World Championship, 2x Junior College State Champ.
  • Shane Webster - NCAA National Champion

Additional Clinicians include: Kevin Carter, Camilo Gonzales, Chris Hammer, Hirshid Haldarov, Bobby Gonzalez, and the Sierra College Wrestling team.

Refund policy: If requested 7 days prior to the start of camp, a refund will be granted less a $15 processing fee.

Location: Sierra College is located at 5000 Rocklin Rd. in Rocklin, CA, just east of I80 between Roseville and Loomis.

Most activities will be held in the college gymnasium. Meals will be served in the cafeteria. The residence halls are located in the Z building on the west end of the campus.
