Sachiko Kibe

Sachiko KibeI came from Japan and have studied ESL for 2 semesters in order to eventually find a rewarding job. Since this ESL curriculum is well focused on reading, listening, speaking, and writing for non English speakers, I can quickly acquire the skills for college level courses. Although the classes require a great deal of effort, they are all interesting. All the ESL professors are very kind and helpful in assisting with my goal of speaking native English. I feel that I have improved greatly through hard work and daily study. That is always the path to success!

Van Ngoc Vu

VivianMy name is - Vivian. I am 24 years old. I was born in a family that has four members in the North of Vietnam. When I was 10 years old, all my family moved to the South. My younger sister and I never went anywhere far from my parents. We grew up in my parents' love and protection. Last year, I decided to leave my family in order to study abroad in the U.S. My life has changed so much after that. I got a hard time living alone far away from home with new environment and limited communication skill. However, I am getting used to changes in my life and continuing doing my goal. I am studying to be a dental hygienist in the future. After school, I have a part time job in my cousin's dental office so I always try to do my homework in class or try to wake up early and go to the library to study. I like to study in the library because the studying environment there encourages me to study harder. Studying in the U.S it is really different from studying in my hometown. I achieve more education and improve quickly. We, international students, who have to go far away from home to study have the same purpose. We all have a goal for our life and are trying to make our dreams come true. Bringing our parents' hope and desire, I believe we can overcome every difficulty and be successful in the future. Good luck!

Vivian
