Career Mobility LVN to RN Option
Students who meet the criteria for advanced placement under this option, are admitted as full-time students completing NR 15 and NR 19 in sequence.

Nursing Assistant
NA 3 Fundamentals of Nursing
This is the only nursing assistant course currently offered through the nursing department at Sierra College. Students who successfully complete the course work may take the certification examination offered by the California Department of Health Services. Once students successfully complete the course and examination, they receive a certificate as a nursing assistant.

Effective Spring 2010 the enrollment process for NA 3, Nursing Fundamentals, will change to an application/selection procedure. Students must submit a completed application packet to participate in the random selection for the class. Selected applicants and alternates must attend a mandatory orientation on December 4, 2009 from 4:00p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Roseville Gateway in the Nursing department.
Registered Nursing
In depth information regarding the Associate Degree Registered Nursing program may be found in the college catalog. This program is offered for full-time students. The information listed is in addition to the information outlined in the catalog.
Once admitted, students complete four semesters of course work with no classes offered in the summer. Once course work is successfully completed, students may apply for licensure through the Board of Registered Nursing www.rn.ca.gov
Admission/Enrollment Requirements:
- Demonstrate reading proficiency per Sierra College graduation requirements.
- Complete the Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) with a passing score of 67% or higher.
