Campus Life & ASSC at Nevada County Campus
All students enrolled at Sierra College are members of the Associated Students of Sierra College. The governing body of the Associated Students of Sierra College is the Student Senate.
The mission of the Student Senate is to provide students with the opportunities to participate in the college’s shared governance process, to work with the Sierra College community to develop activities and support programs and services that promote student success and foster campus community.
The Student Senate shall dedicate itself, above all, to the service of the students it represents.
In an effort to best meet the needs of our diverse student body, Student Senate has a designated group at NCC that is elected to represent and meet the needs of the ASSC students at NCC. This group meets twice a month in the student lounge at 4:30 on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of every month. Agendas are posted on the door of the Student Senate office (L-213).
Meetings are chaired by the Site Coordinator and decisions are made by NCC Student Senators which are elected by the students of NCC.
Any student is welcome to attend.
