Self-Assessment and Career Exploration Through Technology: An Online Course

How does this class work?

Good question. The sample List of Assignments [.doc format] indicates which assignments can be done OFFLINE, all of the others, including all of the REQUIRED assignments, can be completed online. [List of Assignments in .txt format.]

The course is set up on a point system. You must complete 200 points to receive the 1 unit of credit. Since this is a self-paced course, it is strongly recommended that you determine in advance how you will manage your time while working on this course. While time to complete the course varies considerably, most students can expect to spend at least 18 hours to complete the assignments for the 1 unit.

The course material and assignments are presented in a logical sequence for completion. Following the sequence can be beneficial especially if you are undecided about your career choice. Some of the assignments build upon what you have learned in previous assignments, and a few require that you complete a previous assignment before proceeding. However, some of you may have previously completed similar assignments and may want to skip a certain section. Just be sure that you complete all REQUIRED assignments as well as the minimum points required for your section.
