If you are attending classes at Sierra College online or over cable television, you have the right to counseling and other student services just like any other student. While coming in person to our centers in Rocklin and Grass Valley may afford you the most access to all our services, you may also receive help via telephone or email.
In Person: If you would like to make an appointment for in-person counseling, please go to "How to get an appointment" in the left column of this page.
Via Telephone: Please call 916-781-0478 in Rocklin or 530-274-5303 at the Nevada County campus to make your appointment. If this is a toll call, and you are in Northern California, you may call 1-800-242-4004 instead; when prompted for an extension, dial 2478 for Rocklin, or 5303 for Nevada County campus. Please specify that you would like this appointment over the phone. Then you should call in at your appointment time to the same number to be connected with the counselor.
Via E-mail: Please note that "live" or telephone counseling are usually more productive, due to their immediate two-way communication. Moreover, since emails are not confidential, there are limits on what information we may provide using this method. However, if email is the best or only method available to you, we will be happy to accommodate you. For online advising via e-mail, use our online advising option.
