Personal Counseling

Students may face many obstacles in trying to pursue their academic goals. In order to help students identify, cope with, or overcome these obstacles, Sierra College offers personal counseling from professional counselors. The focus of this counseling is short-term and problem solving. Common concerns that may call for personal counseling include anxiety or depression, inability to concentrate, difficulty finding motivation, bouts of anger or sadness, difficulties in relationships, or the like. For situations that call for intensive therapy, we can provide referrals to professionals in the community, to your health provider, or to sliding scale agencies that provide affordable service.
