The 2008-2009 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is available now at www.fafsa.ed.gov/. This application is for Fall 2008, Spring 2009 and Summer 2009 financial aid. Don't wait - apply now! Our school code is 001290 - don't forget to put it on your FAFSA.
Summer 2009 Financial Aid
To receive financial aid during Summer 2009, you must fill out a Summer Request Form. (.pdf)
Four main types of financial aid programs are available:
- Grants:
- Federal or State gift assistance with no obligation for work or repayment.
- Scholarships:
- Gift assistance with no obligation for work or repayment.
- Loans:
- Providing funds now, but with a future repayment obligation.
- Work-Study:
- Part-time work while attending Sierra College.
Financial assistance is a resource designed to supplement the cost of education, and is not intended to be used as a student’s sole means of income. The types and amounts of aid Sierra awards or recommends are subject to availability of funds, enrollment status, and financial need.

2009-2010 Financial Aid
The 2009-2010 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) will be available at www.fafsa.ed.gov/ beginning January 1, 2009. This application will be for Fall 2009, Spring 2010 and summer 2010 financial aid. Apply early! Sierra's school code is 001290 - don't forget to put it on your FAFSA.
Beginning March 2009, all Sierra College students will be able to access their Fall 2009 and Spring 2010 financial aid information online. Students will be required to submit a Sierra College Application for Admissions before being given online access. Watch your email for more information.
