How To Become a Tutor

If you have done well in your Sierra College classes and would like to become a peer tutor, we invite you to consider working with us. To qualify as a tutor in our program, you must:

  • Have an "A" or "B" in the subject(s) to be tutored.
  • Be a Sierra College student enrolled in at least 6 units.
  • Have a signed instructor recommendation form for each subject/discipline.
  • Interview with a Tutor Center panel.
  • Complete or be concurrently enrolled in S.D. 21A (Tutor Training).
