Docents and Museum volunteers are recruited from the community and Sierra College science students.
Call Keely Carroll at (916) 660-7923 for more information.

Wanted: Arboretum volunteer. HELP! We really need help with weeding, raking, and mulching our established plants! If you could donate just a few hours per week, it would really help.

Wanted: A Volunteer Docent Coordinator

The museum is seeking an eager volunteer who can spend 1-2 hours per week coordinating the docent-led tours through the museum in Sewell Hall. Students and other volunteers are trained to guide visiting classes (elementary through high school) through the museum displays as well as along the campus nature trails. Using contact information provided, the Docent Coordinator would meet school groups at their appointed times and make sure that the docents are paired up with a group. Fall activity is less than spring, enabling the coordinator to “learn the ropes” and gear up for a busier spring tour schedule. For more information please call Keely Carroll at (916) 660-7923.
