Music Department Presents Jazz Night

The Sierra College Music Department is proud to present Jazz Night on Saturday, May 12th, 2012 at 7:30pm in Dietrich Theatre on the Sierra College Rocklin Campus.

Enjoy an evening of swing and contemporary jazz with the Sierra College Jazz Voices and Jazz Band, directed by Greg McLaughlin, and the Evening Vocal Jazz Ensembles, directed by Sarah McQueen-Cunningham. Songs will include Frank Foster’s “Shiny Stockings,” made famous by the Count Basie Orchestra, John Lennon and Paul McCartney’s “Norwegian Wood,” arranged by Kerry Marsh, and “All Along the Watchtower,” Bob Dylan’s classic song arranged by Ian Brekke and based on Bear McCreary’s version created for the TV show “Battlestar Gallactica.”

The Sierra College Rocklin Campus is located at 5000 Rocklin Road, Rocklin, CA. Admission for this concert is $6 student/senior and $10 general. Tickets are available at the door. All proceeds benefit the Sierra College Music Department. There is a $2 parking fee on campus. Parking permits can be purchased at machines located within the campus parking lot.
