According to “Youth Development Current Trends,” gay, lesbian or bisexual students were over five times more likely to have attempted suicide in the past year and over three times more likely to miss or be threatened at school in the past three months. Sierra College decided to do something about it and has become a statewide leader in LGBTIQ advocacy as a result.
On Tuesday, November 6, 2012, the Sierra College Nevada County Campus will host a Pride Day. The FREE events on campus are open to the public and we welcome and encourage attendance.
