Music Department Presents A Spring Band Concert

The Sierra College Music Department is proud to present a Spring Band Concert on Wednesday, May 14 at 7:30pm in Dietrich Theatre on the Sierra College Rocklin Campus.

Join Greg McLaughlin and the Sierra College Wind Ensemble and Wind Symphony as they present an evening of standard and contemporary symphonic music that celebrates the rich history of the Symphonic Band idiom. Works to be performed include Leonard Bernstein’s “Slava!,” “Irish Tune From County Derry,” arranged by Percy Grainger, “Arabesque,” by Samuel Hazo, and Michael Markowski’s homage to the great Looney Tunes classic series of Wile E. Coyote and Road Runner animated masterpieces entitled “Famishius Fantasticus.”

The Sierra College Rocklin Campus is located at 5000 Rocklin Road, Rocklin, CA. Admission for this concert is $6 student/senior and $10 general. Tickets are available at the door. All proceeds benefit the Sierra College Music Department. There is a $3 parking fee on campus. Parking permits can be purchased at machines located within the campus parking lot.
