  • From I-80 or Donner Pass Rd in Truckee, head South on Route 89.
  • After the roundabout, take a left at the stoplight marked as Deerfield Drive.
  • Enter the campus on College Trail, which is marked with a "Site of our new campus!" sign.
  • Head up College Trail, and park in the main lot on the right. Welcome! .

Located at over 5800 ft elevation in the heart of the Sierra Nevada mountains, Sierra College’s Tahoe-Truckee Campus serves the citizens of Truckee, Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows, Tahoe City, Kings Beach, Incline Village, and other locations on Tahoe’s north and west shores. The campus is within minutes of world class recreation and adventuring, stellar natural geography, and modern cultural enrichment. The proximity of Donner lake and summit, Squaw Valley USA, Northstar-at-Tahoe, Alpine Meadows, the Reno basin, and several national forest and wilderness preserves provides the people of the region with a wide array of year round activities.

Those approaching Sierra College as an intellectual pursuit will find a curriculum that is directly oriented around transfer to the CSU and UC systems, as well UNR. Classes that transfer include english, arts & humanities, science classes & labs, and a number of electives. High school students are welcome at Sierra College through the Academic Enrichment program. Sierra College classes help advanced high school students sharpen their critical thinking skills, and develop their writing prowess in order to become competitive applicants to any major University.

Snow on campusThe Tahoe-Truckee Campus is also dedicated to meeting the needs of those who come to Sierra College for workforce training and development. The Tahoe-Truckee Campus offers courses and certificates in several sustainable practices. These courses include business related practices such as leadership or accounting. We offer EMT training, health education, and human development courses as well. In addition to regular curriculum Sierra College facilitates non-credit courses for the community. These classes encourage skill development and provide technology training for any community member.

Citizens of the region and lifelong learners find that Sierra College is an outstanding place to find personal enrichment. Courses in photography and natural ecology, for example, provide opportunities for the hobbyist or naturalist. We also have courses through the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute to meet the needs of lifelong learners. These classes are designed to provide an outlet for creative energy, and cultivate personal fulfillment through intellectual and artistic activities.

Friendly staffThe Sierra College Tahoe-Truckee Campus offers excellent educational opportunities in a diverse setting. A student choosing to attend only this campus has the added ability to enroll in Distance Education (i.e. online or cable television) courses, making it possible for our students to complete nearly all core educational credits. Course work at the Tahoe-Truckee Campus is available in most degree and certificate areas, with some exceptions.
