An Expression of Gratitude and a Vow of Eternal Friendship to Trustee David Creek for his Service to the Faculty and Students of Sierra College
Whereas, David Creek has valiantly served Sierra College as a Trustee for twelve years and
Whereas, David Creek served Sierra College with passion, vigor, integrity and dedication and
Whereas, David Creek has served to protect intellectual inquiry, shared governance and the academic environment of Sierra College from political interference and
Whereas, David Creek has demonstrated his love for faculty, classified staff, college administrators, students and academia both repeatedly and consistently and
Whereas, David Creek has shown tremendous courage and resolve as a Knight in defense of the educational process and in the slaying of dragons that threatened the functioning and health of Sierra College and
Whereas, Miguel Cervantes directs us to “Tell him what company [we] keep and [he’ll] tell [us] what we are” and
Whereas, David Creek, by keeping our company, has made “what we are” something truly magnificent,
Resolved, that the Academic Senate of Sierra College, with both affection and gratitude, commends Trustee David Creek for his self-sacrificing service to Sierra College and
Resolved that the Academic Senate of Sierra College enthusiastically dub David Creek an honorary friend of the Sierra College Academic Senate.
