There is always a need for buildings, and Sierra College has a department to give all the training that students like you will need to construct the homes and offices of tomorrow. The Construction Technology curriculum is designed to give students broad training not only in a specific trade, but in a variety of useful academic subjects as well. Whether you want to be a contractor, remodeler, cabinet maker, building inspector, or a carpenter, we have an option for you.
A.A. and A.S. degrees as well as certificates can be earned in the Construction Technology Program.
The Certificate Programs do not satisfy A.A. degree requirements but do qualify students for a certificate in the field of study.
From kitchens to bathrooms, every house needs a cabinet—and future cabinet-makers like you. Mill Cabinet will qualify you for entry into any type of cabinet making. You will be able to work in assembly line production, custom cabinet making, or even design and layout of cabinets and furniture, and even repairing routing machinery malfunctions. This program will provide you with an AA/AS degree.
Similar to AA/AS program, this Mill Cabinet is a certificate program. If you want to work in the cabinet-making industry and need certification, this is the course for you. The curriculum will teach you all the ins and outs of the trade, as well as how to set up a cabinet shop.
A Cabinet Making Certificate will qualify students for entry into any type of cabinet making, for example, assembly line production, custom cabinet making, and repairing routine wood shop machine malfunctions. (Note: what is the difference between Mill Cabinet and Cabinet Making?)
