Physical Education provides the opportunity for individuals and groups to learn skills, develop total fitness, and participate in activities that provide carry-over interests, physiological results, and wholesome social interchange. Lower division curricula for majors is dependent upon California university and out-of-state university requirements.
The Physical Education A.A./A.S. degree provides students with the opportunity to meet the requirements for transferring to fouryear colleges in the areas of Physical Education, Exercise Science, Kinesiology, and Athletic Training. The program in Physical Education outlined below is typical of lower-division requirements for four-year colleges and universities; some requirements vary from college to college. Students are advised to meet with a counselor before selecting courses for appropriate campus specific course requirements.
