Classes for Adults With Inquiring Minds

At Sierra College we believe learning is a lifetime pursuit. That's why we've developed our Osher Lifelong Learning Institute. We offer a wide range of challenging, high-quality learning experiences for active adults. Although these courses are designed for adults age 55 and over, there is no age limit for enrollment. Any adult student is welcome!

Sierra College is one of only two community colleges nationally to receive a grant from The Bernard Osher Foundation to meet the educational needs of older adults. The Sierra College OLLI is five years old and offers over 175 classes annually for more than 4000 students. The classes are all tuition-free and noncredit but do require pre-registration.

Designed with Your Needs in Mind

We know your needs and interests are different from those of a traditional college student. OLLI classes are tuition-free and noncredit, without the worry of tests or grades. Plus, we've designed them in short modules Just one class meeting a week for four weeks, to more easily fit into your busy lifestyle. No previous educational background is necessary, just a desire and an interest to learn or experience something new.

All courses have been approved by the Sierra College Curriculum Committee and are taught by experienced faculty.
