1. Apply
Complete an online Application
- Complete an online Application for Admission to Sierra College via CCCApply. "CCCApply" is a statewide application shared among community colleges throughout California. You will receive communication directly from CCCApply letting you know that your application was submitted to Sierra College.
- Create a username and password for CCCApply, or access your existing CCCApply account. This account is for the CCCApply only. It is not related to your mySierra account.
- The email address you enter into CCCApply will be used for all communication regarding your application. If you do not enter a personal email address, CCCApply will create one for you, and you will need your CCCApply username and password to access it.
2. Submit official transcripts (if applicable)

3. Log on to your mySierra account
After receipt of email with mySierra account activation instructions
- You will receive a confirmation email with mySierra account instructions.
- If you don’t remember your password you can click on the “password reset/ username recovery” link on the mySierra login page.
- Once your new application has been fully processed (24-72 hours after submission,) the term should be available to you in the selection drop down under registration.
- All students must have an active mySierra account in order to access online orientation, registration, and to view their official Sierra College email – Log on to your mySierra account.
If you’ve previously completed steps 4 through 6 please skip to step 7. If you haven’t completed steps 4 through 6 we recommend you complete them prior to step 7.

5. Complete Assessment
Ensuring your prerequisites are met for classes
Many classes, like English and Math, have prerequisites that must be satisfied prior to registration. Read to find out how to take your course placement tests with the Assessment Center.
6. Meet with a counselor
Set appointment after steps 1 through 5
You must complete steps 1 through 5 prior to setting up your counseling appointment. You may schedule your counseling appointment by calling the Counseling Center at your campus. Our trained counselors will:
- Develop your first semester Student Education Plan (SEP)
- Review your assessment results and transcripts.
7. Register online
Through your mySierra account
Log on to mySierra and click on the ‘Add or Drop Classes’ link inside the ‘Registration and Student Records’ channel on the home page. In preparation we suggest you:
- View our tutorial on how to register.
- Prepare a tentative class schedule with the days and times using the Schedule of Classes.
- Check for course pre-requisites and co-requisites.
8. Pay your fees
Due upon registration
All fees are due upon registration.

- There is a 10 day grace period before you are dropped for nonpayment. To learn more, read our Payment/Drop Policy.
Parking fees and purchasing an Associated Students of Sierra College (ASSC) sticker are paid by:
- 1. Log in to mySierra
- 2. Go to "Pay Fees" link
- 3. Go to "Credentials" link
9. Get your student ID card
Pick up at Admissions and Records office
The student ID card is your library card and activities card. Bring your photo ID to the Admissions and Records office on your campus to have your picture taken. You will receive your student ID within a few minutes.
