Because Champions Are Made in the Summer!

Goals

Camp cheerThe goal is to provide personalized instruction for girls on the fundamentals of basketball with an emphasis on developing shooting techniques, ball handling, passing and defensive skills. Positional skills such as post and guard offense and defense will be emphasized throughout the week.

Highlights

  • The Sierra College women's basketball coaching staff, current and past team players, and other top coaches will be on hand throughout the camp to work with all of the players.
  • Individual and small group instruction to develop proper fundamental skills and techniques
  • Instructional and training videos
  • Each player will have their shot videotaped and analyzed by Coach Murrish

Fee Includes

  • Quality Instruction

  • Certificate of Participation
  • Swimming optional (bring swimsuit & towel)
  • Special Awards

Students are to bring their lunch.

  • Fax: Complete the registration form and fax to (916) 781-6257
  • Phone: Have information ready and call Community Education at (916) 781-6280 or (800) 242-4004, ext 6280.
  • Mail: Fill out the registration form, make check payable to Sierra College, and mail to Community Education, Roseville Gateway, 333 Sunrise Ave., Ste 300, Roseville, CA 95661
  • Walk in: The Community Education office is located at the Roseville Gateway Campus, 333 Sunrise Ave., Ste 300, Roseville, CA
    • Hours: Mon.-Thur., 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

*Refund policy: If requested 7 days prior to the start of a camp, a refund will be granted less a nonrefuldable $15 processing fee.

Location

  • Sierra College is located at 5000 Rocklin Road, just east of I-80 between Roseville and Loomis.
  • A campus map will be mailed with your confirmation.
  • Activities will be held in the College gymnasium.
  • Daily parking permits are $2.

Camp Co-Directors

Brandi Murrish

… was honored as the California Community College 2007 Coach of the Year as a result of her squad finishing #2 in the State during the 2006-2007 season. Under her guidance, the Wolverine's have continued to grow, becoming one of the top teams in Northern California, earning berths in the Regional Finals every year. Coach Murrish stresses hands-on learning with one camp coach for every six campers, guaranteeing quality individual instruction.

Scott Pisik

… enters his sixth year as assistant for Sierra’s Women’s basketball team and his 20th season overall. He most recently coached at William Jessup University. His playing career began at Hartnell College and wrapped up at Colorado Christian University. Coach Pisik has directed camps nationally and brings an intensity that motivates players to improve in the off-season.
