    2013 Team with Coach Silva

A member of the Big 8, Sierra College women’s golf is a Northern California powerhouse. Since 2000, Sierra has six conference championships, one NorCal title and four top-four state finishes. In 2011, Head Coach Kim Silva took over a program from Hall of Famer Karen Linde that produced two conference MVPs and 25 All-Conference golfers.

Fall 2013

  • April Chang ties for 6th place in State; Michelle Latini places 12th.
  • Michelle Latini and April Chang qualify for State Championships
  • April Chang - Conference MVP
  • April Chang and Michelle Latini - All Conference Team
  • The Sierra team placed second in the Conference and qualify for NorCals
  • All five Sierra team members qualified individually for NorCals as well

2012 Season Recap

Sierra College women’s golf was a major player in northern California in 2012. Wolverine head coach Kim Silva: “This is probably the best all-around team I’ve

  • Finished fourth in the Big 8 Conference
  • Four out of the team’s six players qualified for the NorCal tournament
  • Finished one stroke out of the third qualifying spot for the NorCal team tourney
  • Allyson Koehler, with a second-round 82 in NorCals, missed the state tourney by a single stroke
  • Four players made the NorCal tourney:
    • Allyson Koehler (shot a 170)
    • Sydney Ryan (174)
    • Michelle Latini (180)
    • Tori Englehart (184)
