Transferring

Seven players from the 2014 softball team will be playing at four-year schools next year. Carly Evans (Alabama St.), Gabby Gonzalez (Cal St. East Bay), Alexis Johnson (Alabama St.), Tayana Mata (Hawaii), Maddie Phelps (Alabama St.), Chelsea Rivera (Alabama St.) and Ashleigh Stidman (Rogers St.).

Sierra College softball is an elite national program that plays in one of the country’s elite conferences, the Big 8. Since 2000, Head Coach Darci Brownell’s Wolverines have produced 28 NFCA All-American, 19 All-State 1st Team, 29 All-NorCal, 71 All-Conference 1st Team, and 20 Academic All-Conference student athletes. The 2010 team was named the USA’s top academic community college team. Brownell’s teams have 14 straight playoff appearances and regional championships.
