Event Details

In 2006 biologist and environmental consultant Robert Francisco left his corporate office and embarked on a five month trek across the western United States along the Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail (PCT).  Through drought stricken southern California deserts, the snow covered Sierra Nevada, blistering hot Oregon lava fields, and the early blizzards of the northern Cascades, please join us as Robert presents a photo journey of this epic trip.

Robert Francisco is a biologist by training who has worked on a variety of projects in California and across the Western US, where he specializes in issues related to the Clean Water Act and the Endangered Species Act.  He has recently been asked to serve as the General Manager for the American operations of FirstCarbon solutions, a multinational environmental/sustainability company with offices around the globe.   He has traveled and hiked in a variety of countries, including many of the famous treks in New Zealand.  After his PCT thru-hike (his trail journal is posted at http://www.trailjournals.com/entry.cfm?id=121480) he headed to the mountains again in 2009 where he spent 6 months trekking throughout the Himalayas in Nepal and India.

All proceeds benefit the Sierra College Natural History Museum.

There is a $2 parking fee on campus. Parking permits are available at dispensers located in the parking lots.
