A two-day event at Sierra College/Rocklin Campus focusing on the rise and fall of glaciers in the world and the unveiling of California Glaciers by Tim Palmer – a new book published by Heyday and Sierra College Press.

How the Sierra Obtained its Beauty - A lecture by Dick Hilton – SC Natural History Museum lecture series, Sewell Hall 111 

Sierra College professor Dick Hilton will demonstrate through graphic illustration, lecture and photographs how the present Sierra Nevada got its peaks, valleys and thousands of crystal clear lakes.


Sat. Oct 27: California Glaciers by Tim Palmer 

6 p.m.: SC Friends of the Library will host a private reception for Tim Palmer

7:30-8:30 p.m.: Tim Palmer Lecture, Sewell Hall 111
