Moderated by the Nevada County League of Women Voters
On Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at 7:00 pm, the Sierra College Nevada County Campus will host a presidential election and party platform debate, moderated by the Nevada County League of Women Voters. The community is welcome and encouraged to attend this free event.
Come listen and participate in a lively discussion of the presidential election and current party issues with the Nevada County representatives of the Republican, Democratic, and Libertarian parties. The representatives will discuss party platform, reply to questions from the audience, and respond to one another in a collaborative effort to inform the public. As stated by our 32nd President, Franklin D. Roosevelt, "Democracy cannot succeed unless those who express their choice are prepared to choose wisely. The real safeguard of democracy, therefore, is education."
The Sierra College Nevada County Campus is located at: 250 Sierra College Drive in Grass Valley. Doors will open at 6:30 pm. There is a $3 parking fee on campus. Parking permits can be purchased at the kiosk machine at the campus entrance.
