Lawson Stuart: "How flawed policies are affecting our Veterans and Military"

Event Details

The Rocklin Campus Political Science Club will host Political Awareness Day on Wednesday, April 30th, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. An information fair will be located on the Quad. The culminating event of Political Awareness Day will be a presentation by Lawson Stuart titled: How flawed policies are affecting our Veterans and Military. It will be held in D-12 beginning at 2:00 pm. This presentation is FREE and the public is welcome and encouraged to attend.

Lawson Stuart is a Veteran, Husband, Father, Catholic, Democrat, Community Activist and Public Servant. He was elected in 2013 to lead the Veterans Caucus of the California Democratic Party as Chair. In this capacity, he helps Veterans issues remain at the forefront of debate and consideration for candidates and elected office holders. He oversees an Executive Board of 5 elected members, six committees and a growing membership of Veterans and Veterans' Supporters who seek to effectuate positive changes for those who have served.

The Sierra College Political Science Club encourages us all to get involved in our school, our community, our state and our country.

Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the ones we've been waiting for. We are the change that we seek.
Barack Obama
