Scholarships: Change the Life of a Student

The Sierra College Foundation prides itself in offering over 100 scholarships to Sierra College students. The Foundation publishes a student scholarship booklet at the end of each year. Scholarships follow the academic year of August through June. Sierra College Foundation offers multiple opportunities for donors to support the education of Sierra College students:

Donation of $15,000 and above

Establishes a named scholarship endowment

1. Interest-earning fund that perpetually awards scholarships on an annual basis
2. Donor names the scholarship
3. Donor determines criteria and  has the option to select the  scholarship recipients
4. Foundation office provides regular accounting to the donor

Donation of $2,500 and above

Establishes a named scholarship account

1. Annual scholarship that is funded by donations only (funds are not endowed)
2. Donor names the scholarship
3. Donor chooses criteria and has the option to select the recipients
4. Foundation office provides regular accounting to the donor

Fall 2008 & Spring 2009 scholarships have already been awarded.
Applications for the 2009-2010 school year will be available in November 2008.
