Trainers

Our team of staff and student athletic trainers are friendly and knowledgable, and are pleased to work with the many wonderful athletes that Sierra College is proud to be home to.

Head Trainer - Nancy L. Smith, ATC

Nancy is beginning her 20th year at Sierra College. She attended undergraduate school at Pomona College in claremont and received her Masters degree in athletic training from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. Prior to coming to Sierra, Nancy spent four years in San Jose at Leland High School and PAR Physical Therapy Clinic.

Assistant Trainer - Brandon Johnson

is beginning his 11th year at Sierra College. He attended undergraduate school at UC Davis and received his Masters degree in athletic training from the Arizona School of Health Sciences (Phoenix, AZ). After graduate school, Brandon worked for 1 year at the Olympic Training Center in Lake Placid, NY. Together Nancy and Brandon provide sports medicine care for the 22 teams at Sierra College.
