Sierra College Career Connections at the Rocklin campus will be offering the following one-hour workshops during the semester.
Job Search Workshops
Learn a planned, multi-pronged approach to finding job leads. In today’s economy especially, the same old way of doing things won’t work! Come and learn the newest job search strategies that should produce results in today’s challenging job market. Participants in the one-hour workshop are invited to apply these effective strategies at Career Connections’ Job Search Lab.

All workshops are held at the Rocklin campus. Check in at Career & Transfer Connections (Winstead Bldg., Room L-107) at least 5 minutes early.

Resume Building Workshops
Invest one hour in building a dynamic resume that will give you results AND get five laser copies of your resume on resume stock, plus matching envelopes! The Resume Building workshop is a comprehensive activity, focusing on what to include (and what not), which type of resume will work best for you, plus electronic and scannable resumes and cover letters.
Participants in the one-hour workshop are also given a ½-hour follow-up appointment with a career counselor to review/edit a resume.

How to do a “WOW” Job Interview Workshops
This one-hour workshop will cover the basics of effective interviewing, including how to dress, what to bring, what questions to anticipate, how to answer using the 1,2,3 format and more! Build your confidence by being prepared--come and invest in yourself and your future.
Participants in the workshop are also given a ½-hour follow-up appointment with a career counselor to discuss individual interview issues/questions.
