The Sierra College Foundation is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit, tax exempt organization that raises money from private donors to support students, college programs and the future of Sierra College. The Foundation was formed in 1972 and incorporated in 1973 with a mission of “giving the community the opportunity to invest in the development of quality educational opportunities for all.”

The Foundation is independently audited and is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, most of whom live and work in the communities served by the Sierra Joint Community College District of Placer, Nevada, parts of Sacramento and Eldorado Counties.
