Impacting Students’ Goals - Sierra College Scholarships - Kelly Fitzgerald

Kelly FitzgeraldKelly Fitzgerald, a single mother of three children, juggling work, family, and school, made the decision to pursue a career in nursing while attending Sierra College. The intensive program often makes it difficult for students, like Kelly, to work full time. Moreover, the cost of books and other materials, can have a manifold effect.

After being made aware of the numerous scholarship opportunities Sierra College offers, Kelly applied for, and was awarded, the Marjorie and Arthur Goetz scholarship and the Richard B.D. Chun, M.D. and Opal L. Chun, R.N. scholarship, among others. “Being the recipient of a scholarship alleviated a lot of stress, allowing me to focus on my top two priorities: school and family.” Kelly says. Your generosity strengthens our community by facilitating the training of tomorrow’s public service heroes, like Kelly!

Thank you to our scholarship donors, who graciously give to impact our students’ educational goals!

Corporate Matching Gifts

Multiply the Impact of Your Gift

Corporations encourage employees and retirees to make charitable gifts by agreeing to match personal donations with an equal or greater corporate contribution.

To initiate a matching gift, please complete your employer’s matching gift form (either through your company’s matching gift online system or by completing a hard copy form) and send it, along with your gift, to Sierra College Foundation. We will complete the form, certifying that we have received your gift and that it is an eligible match. We then send the form to your employer (or verify online if applicable), who sends the matching funds to Sierra College Foundation. Upon receipt of the matching gift, we will notify you in writing.
