Laci Green is an American YouTube video-blogger, public sex educator and feminist activist. She has hosted online sex education content on behalf of Planned Parenthood and Discovery News. Green's YouTube channel, SexPlus has more than one million subscribers. — "One in four female students and one in six male students are sexually violated while earning their degree. For other marginalized groups, the statistics are even more grim. In this program, we take an in-depth look at our culture’s attitudes and responses to sexual violence. Using pop culture examples, videos, and discussion questions, this program illuminates the problem and helps bring it to a halt." — Laci Green

About our Presenter:

Laci Green is an alumni of Sierra College and graduate of UC Berkley. She majored in legal studies with an emphasis on sexual assault prevention policy. Her YouTube channel was developed in response to what she saw as a nationwide failure to provide comprehensive sex education and adopt realistic attitudes about sexuality. Green's work includes biweekly videos, daily blogging, a robust university lecture series and community activism. Since 2015, Laci has worked with over 100 universities, conferences, military groups and government offices on sexual health and sexual violence prevention efforts. She also works with MTV as the host of their first original YouTube channel, MTV Braless, in addition to producing videos for Planned Parenthood.
