The Sierra College Music Department is proud to present a Spring Band Concert on Sunday, May 15th at 3:00pm in Dietrich Theatre on the Sierra College Rocklin Campus.

Join Greg McLaughlin and the Sierra College Wind Ensemble and Wind Symphony plus special guests the Placer Brass and the Heavy Metal Tuba Quartet as they present an afternoon of traditional and contemporary instrumental and symphonic music that celebrates the rich history of the band idiom. Works to be performed include “American Elegy,” by Frank Ticheli, “Folk Song Suite,” by Ralph Vaughn Williams, George Gershwin’s “Nice Work if You Can Get It,” arranged by Steve Miller, “The Muppet Show Theme,” by Jim Henson, arranged by Bill Carmody, “Irish Tune From County Derry,” by Percy Grainger, and Jay Bocook’s “Head Rush.”

The Sierra College Rocklin Campus is located at 5000 Rocklin Road, Rocklin, CA. Admission for this concert is $6 student/senior and $10 general. Tickets are available at the door. All proceeds benefit the Sierra College Music Department.
