That’s right, on Sunday, May 7 from 9am – 4pm.…Dinosaur Day is back with even more to see and do than ever before.

Here is a short list of the fun events happening at this year’s Dinosaur Day: The Museum will introduce live bats, snakes, lizards and insects to the crowd. See scientists blow up watermelons. Get officially checked for cooties! Kids can decorate their own Dino “Cookie” and make a tie-dye t-shirt. Young would-be scientists will be able to make an Archaeopteryx hat or a puppet and their own slime too! Learn about the microbial world by seeing fluorescent bacteria. These are bacteria that have been injected with gene fluorescents from a Jelly; not the food, the animal. Yes, at Sierra College we can make genetically modified organisms! The Museum will be holding Planetarium Shows throughout the day. (Please note that there is limited seating available for these shows. Ages 8 and up please). There will be silent auctions and drawings. Take a spin on the DinoWheel to test your dinosaur knowledge and a chance to win prizes. There will be glowing bacterial art and face painting too. Meet actual paleontologists and watch them prepare real fossils. Kids can hunt for fossils in the fossil sandbox. This list is just some of the many activities planned for young and young-at-heart explorers. For a complete list of Dinosaur Day activities and news check out the website at: https://www.sierracollege.edu/events/upcoming/2017/05/dino-day.php

Make a day of it and bring a picnic lunch to the event, or better yet, get some good eats from Good Dog hot dogs and then a smoothie from the Coffee Cruiser.
