Sierra College Patrons

The Sierra College Patrons, a branch of the Sierra College Foundation, are dedicated to promoting the Arts and Humanities at the college and to provide cultural enrichment to the community. Proceeds from patron-sponsored events are used to benefit these programs in the form of grants and scholarships awarded to Sierra College Students, and to support Arts and Humanities programs. The Patrons, founded in 1984, currently have close to 50 members. To date, the Patrons have donated more than $350,000, impacting and improving all aspects of campus life.

What We Do

  • Patrons provide $5,000 in grants to the Arts and Humanities Departments each year. Emphasis is on grants that directly affect students. Funding applications are due September 30 and February 28.
  • Patrons award two annual $500 scholarships to students in the Arts (music, art, theatre, etc.).
  • Patrons give $1,000 in awards to students competing in the student art show each year.
  • Support the Guardian Scholar program with gift cards
  • Support the Sierra College Veteran’s Program
