Example of one of my business classes: Managerial Accounting

  • How much does it cost to build an iPad? Is the iPad profitable? Should Sears close some of its under-performing stores? Is ethical behavior important to success in business?
  • The concepts covered in this class provide information necessary to answer these types of questions. This course focuses on decision-making and performance evaluation within a business. Whether it is large or small, service or retail, for-profit or nonprofit, all organizations can benefit from the concepts covered in this course.
  • Professor Heisinger uses his textbook, Managerial Accounting, to provide an easily understood approach to managerial accounting concepts. His textbook is published through Flat World Knowledge as a low cost alternative to existing textbooks.
  • Information in the text and the related lecture notes are used in class to generate lively discussions regarding tough decisions that must be made by businesses on a daily basis.
