An event at Sierra CollegePride Days

November 15 and 16, 2017

Sierra College Pride Days is a two day educational event, tied closely to college curricula, that seeks to provide a safe and supportive learning environment for Sierra's Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex and Queer students as well as offering rich, academic and cultural learning opportunities for all students. There will be presentations, music community groups and more!

Wednesday, November 15:

  • 11:00 "The need for LGBT Studies" Professor Johnnie Terry, LGBT Studies
  • 11:20 "Either LGBT or Religious: A False Dichotomy" Three speakers tell their stories.
  • 12:30 "Coming Out Stories: The Rainbow Alliance," Classroom location TBA
  • 1:15: The Lavender Library and Cultural Exchange: Cindy Baudoin
  • 2:00 Greater Placer County PFLAG: Sharing stories
