Event Details

Please join us for a very special exhibition at the Ridley Gallery, Katie's Cache, featuring the work and collection of our late colleague and friend, Katie Borcz. Katie (Mathews) Borcz was an enthusiastic and dedicated instructor in the Sierra College Art Department for nearly 20 years.

This exhibition features Borcz' expansive and eclectic collection of works by California artists including Robert Arneson, David Gilhooly, Roy De Forest, Steven Kaltenbach, Gale Hart, Fred Gordon, Mick Sheldon, Linds Byrne, Dotty Means Brown, Casey O'Connor, Elisabeth Higgins O'Connor, Stephania Kogut, and Kurt Edward Fishback in addition to her own charcoal drawing and mixed media works. This collection was shaped through Katie's long standing friendships and career in the Sacramento Art community and her many years teaching at Sierra College. Katie passed away November 6, 2017, at the age of 54.

This exhibition runs January 22 through February 22, with a reception February 8 from 5:00-7:00. Ridley Gallery is located on the first floor of the Library/LR 102, on the Rocklin campus, 5100 Sierra College Blvd, Rocklin. Regular hours for Ridley Gallery are 11am -6:00 pm Monday through Thursday. Admission to Ridley Gallery is free and open to the public.
