Event Details

Events at SierraWhen someone says, “gone batty”, they really mean it; there are over 1,100 different species of bats! Some species, such as the Little Brown Bat, can serve as pest control by eating up to 1,000 mosquitos an hour! Certain colonies of bats, like in Austin, Texas, live in the MILLIONS under bridges.

The Museum will be hosting bat naturalists and their fuzzy friends so that children can discover that these beautiful creatures are not the fictionalized villains of scary movies.

*Parents: Please use discretion as the tiny bats are live animals. (Recommended Age 4+)

The Museum will be open for all to walk around to see the exhibits.
