You Completed College Level Courses at Another College

You may be exempt from placement tests if you have:

  • An Associate’s degree or higher
  • Completed college-level English, Reading, Math, or ESL courses

Submit your official transcripts to Admissions and Records a few weeks before you register for classes.

Chemistry 1A Prerequisite Test

For the test, you will need:

  • A scientific calculator
  • A valid photo ID
  • To meet the Math and Chemistry prerequisite requirements (see course descriptions for more information)

Rocklin

Chemistry 1A is offered once daily at 8:00am, Monday through Friday. We have limited seating and will assist students on a first-come, first-served basis. Please arrive at 8:00am for check-in. Testing begins promptly at 8:10am.

Nevada City and Tahoe/Truckee

Testing at the Nevada City Campus (NCC) and Tahoe Truckee campuses require appointments:
