Lauren Sharkey

Lauren Sharkey is a professional harpist, pianist, and self-proclaimed music theory nerd. At Sierra College, she teaches Ear Training, Music Appreciation, and Beginning Piano.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in Harp Performance from Simpson University, and a Master of Arts in Music from California State University, Chico. Lauren joined the Sierra College music faculty in 2017. She also teaches private lessons in piano and harp, performs regularly as a freelance harpist, and dabbles with composition.
