Advanced Manufacturing
Are you into making things and seeing your visions come to light? The Sierra College Advanced Manufacturing Programs provide a hands-on learning experience in the Gene Haas Center for Advanced Manufacturing by Design through two complementary, industry-aligned pathways: the Mechanical Computer-Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) program and the Advanced Manufacturing – Computer Numerical Controlled (CNC) Programming and Operation program. Develop technical, design, and problem-solving skills for careers in applied engineering, manufacturing, and product development while gaining experience with industry-standard software and equipment, to prepare you for direct workforce pathways and state-registered apprenticeships.

Put Your Mind to It
Following graduation, Advanced Manufacturing graduates find well-paying jobs as designers, mechatronics technicians, or computerized numerical control (CNC) machinists.
Working with Applied Technology students, I see a wide variety of students from different backgrounds, skills and levels of experience. I believe that networking with your peers and instructors is a valuable tool to gain hands-on experience and open doors to other opportunities to enhance your educational journey.Shane, Mechatronics Alumni (not pictured)
