Plant Operations, Facilities Development and Construction Management

The Facilities Division is responsible for ensuring that all District facilities and infrastructure are planned, developed, operated, maintained, renovated and demolished in a safe and efficient manner that best supports the student learning environment.

Plant Operations

The Plant Operations functions managed by the Facilities Division include non-instructional facilities use of classrooms, common areas, sports fields; access control of all buildings; building energy systems (e.g. heating, ventilating, air conditioning); building maintenance; building custodial; campus grounds keeping and District transportation. Additionally, the Division oversees safety and accessibility for District campuses and facilities.

Facilities Development and Master Plans

The Facilities Development functions managed by the Facilities Division include long-term facilities master planning, project planning and oversight and project close-out.

Construction and Construction Management

The Facilities Division is responsible for the management of all District construction projects, either through direct management or oversight of construction managed by others.
