Women and Gender Studies

AA

Are you interested in how gender shapes people’s lives around the world? In most cultures, gender relates to power and which roles women and men should “naturally” occupy. Our daily lives are also affected by the way gender, race, class and sexuality intersect. Study gender across many areas including art, psychology and anthropology.

We can help you find the program that fits your passion and interests.

People, Culture and Society Students in the People, Culture and Society area want to learn about others in order to serve them well. They learn about the diversity of human experiences and how our relationships with each other create a deeper understanding and acceptance of our similarities. Everyone at Sierra can take advantage of opportunities to learn about others through the Student Engagement Centers programming, People and Culture Days, and other campus events.
