About the Foundation
Your Philanthropic Dollars at Work
Since 1973, Sierra College Foundation has supported students by funding their pursuits of higher education and providing resources to help guide them toward success while assisting thousands of donors in fulfilling their philanthropic desires.
Who We Are
Sierra College Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, tax-exempt organization that raises money from private donors to support students, college programs, and the future of Sierra College. The Foundation was formed in 1972 and incorporated in 1973 with a mission of giving the community the opportunity to invest in the development and quality educational opportunities for all.
Thanks to the generosity of individuals, businesses, and foundation grants, Sierra College Foundation has grown along with the college. The Foundation encourages gifts to enhance college programs, for faculty support, and facility improvements.
Sierra College Foundation is independently audited and governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, most of whom live and work in the communities served by the Sierra Joint Community College District of Placer, Nevada, and parts of Sacramento and El Dorado Counties.
Contributions to Sierra College Foundation qualify for state and federal tax deductions, and for estate tax savings.
